Oneplus exits major markets: loyal fans plan their next move
OnePlus is pulling back from key markets – the US, UK, and EU – a move that has sent ripples through the tech world. But instead of abandoning the brand, many users are determined to stick with their devices. The company’s decision, fueled by memory constraints and shrinking market share, has left a void.

What's next for oneplus users?
A recent poll reveals a surprising level of loyalty. Nearly 53 percent of respondents indicated they’d continue using their current OnePlus phones for as long as possible. This staunch dedication highlights the brand's strong hold on a dedicated customer base.
For those willing to explore alternatives, Oppo, OnePlus’s parent company, is the most frequently cited option (21 percent). While Oppo phones lean toward photography, OnePlus is known for a more balanced user experience. However, industry analysts suggest Oppo might increasingly adopt features and marketing strategies similar to OnePlus, potentially softening the transition.
A smaller segment – around 15 percent – are considering Google’s Pixel phones, while roughly 10 percent are eyeing Samsung. The logical choice for many, however, is to simply keep their existing OnePlus device. OnePlus reportedly plans to maintain after-sales service and software updates in exited regions for a set period.
The decision to remain with OnePlus, even as the company scales back, speaks volumes about the connection users feel with the brand. It's a testament to a product that, for many, delivered on its promise of performance and value. The future of OnePlus in these markets is uncertain, but the enduring loyalty of its user base is undeniable.
