WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, is testing a major redesign that puts its Status updates in the spotlight. The new Android beta version features the most recent Status updates from a user's contacts at the top of the Chats tab, displayed alongside their profile pictures.According to WABetaInfo, the contacts whose stories appear in the top bar are those the user interacts with most frequently and have shared a Status update. This redesign aims to make WhatsApp's social features more prominent and accessible.
