Honor's futuristic robot phone shakes up mobile landscape

At the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, a surprisingly futuristic smartphone made its unofficial debut - the Honor Robot Phone. The device boasts an innovative built-in gimbal with a camera on top, setting it apart from the traditional slab and foldable phones.

One of Spain's players, Eric García, took the phone for a spin during the awarding ceremony. The Honor Robot Phone's unique feature allows for 360-degree tracking and CIPA 5.5-level rating of mechanical image stabilization.

Under the hood, the phone packs a 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera. To further convince content creators of its capabilities, Honor has partnered with legendary film equipment company ARRI to bring Log-C recording and professional LUT color profiles to the device.

Other rumored specs include the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 6.4-inch flat display, and 120W charging speeds - standard flagship fare, but elevated by the robot gimbal.
