Nvidia's ai chip ambitions: $1 trillion goal by 2027
Graphics giant Nvidia has made a bold prediction, forecasting that its AI chips will rake in at least $1 trillion by the end of 2027, a staggering increase from its previous estimate of $500 billion for the same period.

Nvidia's ai ambitions reach new heights
The unprecedented prediction was made by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during the company's GTC conference, highlighting the immense scale of the business driven by demand for chips in AI development and execution.
However, the cumulative figure doesn't suggest an acceleration in sales growth. Following the announcement, Nvidia's stock price climbed as high as 4.8% before subsequently shedding gains. The company's market value is still an unparalleled $4.4 trillion.
Nvidia faces stiff competition from rivals like Advanced Micro Devices and its own clients, who are trying to develop their own chips for managing AI. The company refreshes its entire product lineup annually, incorporating new components. Its next-generation AI processor, dubbed Vera Rubin, is set to debut in systems during the second half of 2026, named after the pioneering astronomer whose observations provided evidence for the existence of dark matter.
