Soldiers are welding dozens of spikes, metal rods, chains, and steel cables onto the tank's hull. These protrusions, extending 30-60 centimeters (roughly 1-2 feet) from the main armor, aim to disrupt the drone's detonation mechanism – most FPV drones detonate upon contact.

How does the defense work?
nThe design relies on tricking the drone's proximity sensor. When a drone strikes one of the protruding elements, the explosive charge detonates prematurely, before it reaches the tank's main armor. This detonation, occurring half a meter away, disperses the energy and shrapnel, significantly reducing the force needed to penetrate the vehicle’s armor. This effectively mitigates the impact of the drone's explosive force.
